Privacy

Couch League is played by children and adults, so it is built to hold as little as possible. There are no accounts, no ads and no tracking, and nothing about who plays or how they did is uploaded.

Who this covers

This policy applies to the Couch League apps for iPhone and Android, published in Sweden as Soffligan.

What stays on your device

• Players — names, avatars and age ranges you create in the app.
• Skill levels and handicap — what each player is good at, used to pick their questions.
• Match history, seasons and the family league.
• Which questions you have already seen, so they don't come back too soon.

None of it is uploaded, and there is no account to sync it to.

Playing across devices

When you play in a room, the phones exchange what the match needs: a four-character room code, the player names shown in the lobby, and each round's results while the match runs. That room is temporary — it is deleted 30 minutes after the last activity. There is no login; the app signs in anonymously to the room service so the phones can find each other.

Anonymous statistics — optional, off by default

An adult is asked once whether the app may send anonymous counters. It is off until someone says yes, can be turned off again in Settings at any time, and nothing is sent while a match is running.

If it is on, three events are sent after a match ends:

• Match completed — the mode (alone / one device / several), the number of players, whether teams were used, and which rounds were played.
• Match abandoned — which phase it was abandoned in.
• Thumbs up or down on a round — which round, and which way.

Each batch also carries a random install identifier, the app version and the platform. The identifier is generated on first launch and changes if the app is reinstalled. It is never the advertising identifier, never Apple's vendor identifier, and never the room's device id.

No names, no ages, no scores per person and no question texts are ever included.

Purchases

Studios are one-time purchases handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details. What we store on the device is simply which studios are unlocked. When you host a room, your purchase applies to the whole room for that evening.

Children

The app is rated for all ages and is intended to be played with family. It contains no advertising, no external links in the game itself, no chat, no user-generated content and no data collection tied to a person.

What we don't do

• No advertising and no ad tracking.
• No third-party analytics SDK.
• No selling or sharing of personal data — there is nothing to sell.
• No accounts, no profiles on our servers.

Your control

Settings → Clear everything on this device removes players, the family register, match history, seasons and question history. Anonymous statistics can be turned off in the same screen. Room data disappears on its own.
